The combination of Grunge Art style with the vintage checkered prints and black fabrics gives the design a new vision. The pattern combines street style and formal workwear to create a conflicting but innovating punk culture. Patching and asymmetrical stitching techniques are used to achieve the bold and irregular effects unique to grunge. Grunge Art is also an art style which is born from Punk. To make the tailoring of the splicing part increase the sense of space and three-dimensionality, we made it with double-layered fabric, not with pure colored fabric, but two well-made patches. Layers of fabrics are stacked, and edges are finished with raw edge technique. Inspired by the image of a long shirt with a full front as the basis, the back body piece is cut into several centimeter-wide cloth strips with a delicate pattern on the back. The large pleats are made with this collections’s old-fashioned prints. With the dynamics of the body, the plaid prints will also be looming among the black cloth strips, showing a small but gorgeous beauty. After the waist is tied up through the straps on both sides, females can wear it as a dress.
