BAÉ is an emerging fashion brand founded in 2023 by Katya and Marina, two friends with a shared passion for redefining occasion wear. With two decades of combined experience in the fashion industry, they created BAÉ to fill a gap in the market for sustainable, versatile, and timeless dresses that empower women. BAÉ's designs are not just about fashion; they are about celebrating special moments, offering pieces that can be cherished and worn repeatedly, embodying a commitment to quality, sustainability, and making every woman feel truly special.

When and where did you first begin?
BAÉ was set up by two like-minded spirits and friends — Katya & Marina — in 2023. With two decades of combined experience in the fashion industry, their dynamic duo embarked on a mission to redefine occasion wear.
Having identified an unmet demand in the market, they fused their expertise to give birth to a new ethical brand with a vision: dresses that celebrate special moments, designed to be cherished and worn repeatedly.

Where does your design inspiration come from?
Our design inspiration at BAÉ stems from our mission to "MAKE EVERY GIRL FEEL SPECIAL". We believe in creating timeless, versatile pieces that empower women to express their unique style effortlessly. Inspired by the beauty of nature and the art of self-expression, we craft dresses with removable accessories, allowing them to transition seamlessly from everyday wear to special occasions.
We are committed to quality and sustainability, standing against fast fashion by offering designs that can be cherished and worn in countless ways, making every moment truly special.


What is the most difficult aspect of running your own label?
The most difficult aspect of running our own label is balancing creativity with the practical demands of business. While we're passionate about designing and innovating, we also have to navigate the complexities of production, marketing, and logistics. Ensuring that every piece meets our high standards of quality and sustainability while managing costs and timelines can be challenging. However, these challenges drive us to be more resourceful and dedicated to our mission of making every girl feel special.

Which part of the creative process do you enjoy most, and least?
The part of the creative process we enjoy most is the initial brainstorming and design phase. It's where we can fully explore our ideas, draw inspiration from the world around us, and translate our vision into unique, versatile pieces that reflect our brand's ethos. Seeing these ideas come to life and imagining how they'll empower our customers is incredibly rewarding.
The part we enjoy least is the technical production process, where we have to navigate the challenges of material sourcing, manufacturing logistics, and ensuring every detail is perfect. While essential, it can sometimes feel like it slows down our creative momentum. However, we understand that this meticulous attention to detail is crucial for delivering the high-quality pieces our customers expect and deserve.


Do you have a mentor?
We don't have one specific mentor, but we're committed to continuous learning and growth. We actively participate in various courses and programmes to gain new knowledge and refine our expertise. This approach allows us to stay innovative and adaptable, constantly improving and evolving our brand to better serve our customers.

How long did your latest collection take to create?

The idea for our latest collection came to us immediately, but it took several months to refine it into the ideal collection of occasion and bridal dresses. We focused on perfecting every detail, including designing removable accessories that allow each dress to transition seamlessly from special events to everyday wear.


What are your future plans?

Our future plans are to grow BAÉ globally and expand our presence in a range of major retailers. We're focused on bringing our unique, versatile designs to a wider audience, ensuring that more women around the world can experience the special moments our pieces are designed to create.


Which pieces do you think everyone should have in their wardrobe?

Everyone should have our "mini dress Joy in black with the removable big bow" in their wardrobe. It's the perfect little black dress, versatile enough to suit any special occasion. The removable bow adds a touch of elegance when needed, making it a must-have staple in every woman's collection. 


What attracted you to The Clothing Lounge?

We were attracted to The Clothing Lounge by the opportunity to present BAÉ to a wider audience and to be featured alongside other high-end designers. It's a great platform for us to showcase our unique, versatile designs and connect with customers who appreciate quality and style.
