MEET THE MAKER: DISCOVER BOUTIQUE
Discover Boutique is an online fashion site showing a small collection of effortlessly stylish pieces. Inspired by travel, their collections incorporate vibrant colour, adding adventure to your wardrobe. Designing each of their garments in Barcelona and sourcing and producing them in Bali, Indonesia, Discover Boutique places a huge focus on their ethically sourced materials.
I started in January 2017.
Where does your design inspiration come from?
Travel, pure style, and the colours and shapes that surround me.
Describe your brand in 3 words.
Eco-chic, stylish, mindful.
What is the most difficult aspect of running your own label?
Getting my collection seen by a bigger audience.
Which part of the creative process do you enjoy most?
I am actually loving every aspect of it as I am learning so much, but I would definitely say designing is my favourite part.
Do you have a mentor?
No, I don’t, just me!
How long did your latest collection take to create?
It was a gradual process that I think took place over around 8 months.
What are your future plans?
In the future I want to use 100% sustainable fabrics and eco-friendly natural dyes. I have so many ideas!
Which pieces do you think everyone should have in their wardrobe?
I definitely think that everyone should own a kimono. My ‘LOTUS’ kimono is a definite must have in your wardrobe with its vibrant colour and custom lotus print.
What attracted you to The Clothing Lounge?
I love that a huge part of The Clothing Lounge is about supporting independent up-and-coming designers, and wanting to give them a platform to sell their products on.
