Canadian/Scottish artist and designer Gail Glendinning developed her artistic talents as a
Character Designer and then went on to design work for printing onto scarves and other products.
She takes delight in drawing from animal life in zoos and nature and loves to try many types of media and
techniques. She loves bright colours in much of her work and the sense of movement.
Gail has an Animation degree (Hons) from the Arts University College at Bournemouth.
She went on to be a finalist for:
Nicktoons Character and Film Design Competition
The David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year
The BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year
Nominee Arts and Crafts Design Award 2016
Design Factory member
Encouraged by these successes she decided to try printing her work into other art forms,
and was inspired by the beauty of silk as a medium to print her work onto.
