Collina Strada was launched in 2009 by Hillary Taymour in Los Angeles.

Hillary has Associates degree in Product Development and a Bachelors degree in business management from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. 

Not only Hillary actually started by launching a handbag collection whilst a student at FIDM, but also was working at Guess. “I think I made 300 bags in my apartment. I worked from 8 o’clock when I got home until 2 in the morning, making bags.". Hillary is the definition of girl boss. In 2009 she moved from Los Angeles to New York city by herself to grow her brand. The rest is history.

Furthermore, she uses her brand to talk about important subject matters such as genderless fashion, Black Lives Matter, Trump or social media anxiety. Collina Strada is all about inventive shapes, colours. It’s a timeless combination of vintage and modern style. In other words, her brand is for “independent humans embracing a positively fluid attitude in their wears”. Additionally, her last collection SS19 SOUNDBATH featured people who had scars. The one before, Pre-Spring 2019, showed women supporting other women. The one even before that, The Honeymoon,  is about femininity and drawing inspiration from the 70s. 

If that wasn’t enough Collina Strada is a sustainable brand. Each piece is hand-made in New York with eco-conscious materials.
